i wrote a song… in my mind

“hot turns to ugly… quick…

hansel…but cuteness lasts.”

this is quote from one of my friends.  we had a good laugh about it, but we know that there is some truth in this statement.  we were talking about relationships and what to look for and what not to look for in a girl.  i guess this could go for what to look for in a guy too.

so what does this statement mean to you?  i think it could mean a couple things:

beauty if fleeting – hawtness is temporary.  people get old and wrinkly.  there’s only a short window of time where hawtness is at its peak and then it’s all downhill after that.

it’s what’s on the inside – hot people can have some of the worst personailities.  i’m sure you’d all agree.  and in that way, hawtness turns ugly.

perception is key – you may think that someone’s hot one day, and the next, be totally over them.  disgusted even, by their appearance.  tastes change.  hawtness is relative.

what do you guys think?

good thing i’m not hawt.  or am i?

  2. i think usually a person will fall within a range of hawtness to everyone else. like, Bob might be a total hawty for Jill, but be just above average for Jess. 😛

  3. Solomon: the wisest man ever lived called it vanity and vexation of spirit…[considering ones selfworth by appearance]

If one relys on when they feel the chimistry flow; they make a better choice in personal judgements and they are in touch with their own feelings…[this, from and ‘older gentleman’ with much experience in relationships/choices]
